Chinese New Year Friends Gathering






Some long time friends came over for lunch during CNY 2012, I cooked this for them...

1) Fish Fillet with Brinjal
2) Pumpkin with sweet dried prawns
3) Honey mustard prawns

Steam rice with Soya Bean Paste Chicken




This is very convenient...

Ingredients:
Chic ribs
Rice
Spring onion
chili padi

Method:
Marinade chic ribs with fermented soy beans paste, black beans, sesame oil, 2 cloves garlic, sliced ginger, oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar and salt; for 1/2 hr

Steam raw rice till half cook. Then add in marinated chic ribs with the sauce. Continue steam till rice if fully cooked. Sprinkle spring onions and chili padi. Serve Hot!!!! Yummy!!!

Banjo Burger




Do you still remember the ramly burger man that sells banjo burger? I made it for hubby!

Fish in special sauce


for this one...i blended small onions, garlic, serai.

saute all the blended ingredients, add in kafir lime leaves and big onions. add one teaspoon of fish sauce and lime juice, salt and sugar.

Pour onto fried fish....yummy!!!!

Fried Laksa


Fried Laksa... it's simple...

method & ingredients:

fry chu yau char and dish out
with the same oil saute garlic & onions
pour in laksa (which has already been boiled in boiling water for 20 seconds)
pour in the sauce; all the oil and sauces as you like.
add in fried sausages.
add in taugeh
break an egg in the middle
lastly, to make it more savoury, add in the chu yau char...hahahahaha....

Chili Yee Mee



Bought a pack of dried chili this morn while having breakfast at one Pan Mee shop. I decided to try it on yee mee, and it tasted just as good, if not better!!!

Sauce for dried yee mee:
oyster sauce
kicap manis
dark soy sauce
sesame oil
shallots oil
soy sauce
sugar

Then just add an egg AND the dried chili and THAT'S IT!!!!
